  • What all is included in each van?
    Each van has a stove (and one can of butane), fridge, toilet, sink, solar shower, and a full bed. Each van includes fresh linens: sheets, pillows, 2 bath towels, hand towel, 2 wash clothes, 2 beach towels, 2 kitchen towels. Kitchenware includes: 2 skillets, pots, bowls for mixing, a coffee grinder and french press, forks, knives, and spoons, plates, bowls, cups, mugs, wine glasses, a can opener, wine opener, garlic press, garlic grater, lighter, a whisk, spatula, and cooking spoons. We also include dish soap, hand soap, toilet paper, paper towels, and a clean sponge.
  • Is there any flexibility for picking up or dropping off the Campervan?
    Yes! We are happy to accommodate (and almost always can) around your schedule (especially a later flight out). Our standard check-in time is between noon and 8pm and checkout is before 11am. If we don't have an immediate rental before or after your booking, we have a $50 add-on to pick the van up before noon or drop it off after 11am.
  • Is the van diesel or regular?
    All vans take regular gas.
  • Will we be charged if we don't fill up the tank at the end of our trip?
    Yes, renters must return the van with a full tank of gas like they found it. If not, renters will be charged the cost of gas plus a $25 fill fee.
  • What are your check-in times?
    Our standard check-in time is between noon and 8pm and checkout is before 11am. But we are happy to accommodate an early check-in or late check-out if there are no conflicts with another guest's booking. Just ask!
  • Can I rent directly or do I have to go through a platform?
    You are welcome to rent a campervan directly with Sun + Salt Campervans to avoid hefty fees from platforms like Outdoorsy (though, you can book with us there, too!). When you book directly with us we provide insurance coverage for your trip for $14 a day and we secure a $1,000 security deposit before your trip. The security deposit is never taken out of your account, it is simply an authorization hold on the funds that will be released within 7 days of the van being returned with no damage.   • What add-ons are available for our trip?
    We love having add-ons available to make your trip even more easy and convenient. We aren't trying to make a killing, just be able to replace items as they break. We have the following add-ons available. The cost is listed per trip, not per day. - Beach essentials (2 chairs, umbrella) $10 - Hammock $10 - Inflatable Paddle Board $40 - 8ft foam surfboard $40 - Boogie Boards $15 - Tent $10 - BBQ Grill $10 - Jet Boil (quicker way to boil water for coffee than the pot) $10 - Portable Awning $30
  • What is your cancellation policy?
    Sometimes life happens, we get it! The reservation deposit may be refunded (less processing fees) due to cancellation up to 30 days prior to check-in. Renter will receive a 50% refund on a canceled trip if the canceled between 7 and 30 days from the start date of the trip. Additionally, no refunds will be given for cancellations of reservations for early check-outs or no-shows. No Refunds will be given for cancellation or interruption that occurs due to inclement weather.
  • Do you do airport pickups?
    We are just a 10 minute Lyft/Uber/Taxi ride up from the airport and we don't do pickups (you can get fined without the fancy licensing). The exception to that is if you are bringing long surfboards with and are worried about being able to get a ride that can transport them, we can come get you :)
